Features:

Expansive collection

The BYUI McKay library features so many titles; it would take someone several hundred lifetimes to get through their collection. Walking into the library, you can ask any one of the employees to help you find what you are looking for, and they would be more than happy to get you the answer.

Tutoring center

The McKay also features a tutoring center. This is on the 2nd floor, and there are student tutors that are there specifically to help you with your classes! The students are qualified to teach you the basics of the class, and answer any questions you have. You can set up appointments, as they are needed, or weekly appointments.

Hours

One of the most amazing things about the McKay library is the hours. The library opens daily at 7 am Monday through Friday. Monday through Thursday it closes at 11:30 pm, and on Friday nights it closes at 9 pm. On Saturdays, it opens at 9 am and closes at 9 pm. These hours are extremely great for anyone, someone could go in after his or her last class and have a long study session, or they can pick and choose their times.

Located in Rexburg, Idaho, the Madison County Library is situated next to the beautiful Rexburg Tabernacle. The library has been a staple in the community and allows members of the community and students alike to be able to find their passion in reading and research.

I came across this library because I wanted to see if Rexburg (the city I currently live in) had a big selection of books. I have a library card for every public library that I have lived near, and I wanted to share my take on the Madison County Library with you.

Features:

DVD Collection

The Madison County Library features a huge collection of DVD’s. These can be education shows or personal fun movies for the patron to watch. This is essential for the library patron because they can use another resource besides the book for their project, or they can use the library to show their family and friends the fun they can have there.

Overdrive collection

One of the coolest features from the Madison County library is the Overdrive collection. If a patron has a smart phone, tablet or eReader, they can download the Overdrive app and sign in with their library card. After this, they have access to the whole library’s eBook collection.

Customer Reviews

Average review score: 4.5 out of 5 stars

Out of the 2 reviews found for the Madison County library, there were no written reviews about the library. I have heard some people complain that the librarians are not the nicest, and that they are not very friendly to the students of the community. I found that this is true when I visited this library. Even though the staff may not be friendly, we can still use a lot from their resources.

Summary

This library is great for the community, and promotes the ideas and resources that come from libraries. This library features a great DVD and Overdrive collection.
